George William Stormant, age 92, of White Springs, FL. passed away early Thursday February 10, 2011 at his home. The White Springs native and lifelong resident was a heavy equipment operator. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Stormant was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lilly Jane Stormant and a son, Greg Stormant.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Evelyn Stormant, White Springs; one son, Allen Stormant, Ocala, FL.; three daughters, Gwen McCracken, Opa Locka, Alabama, Juana Barfield, Lake Park, GA., and Lynette Manning, Lake City, FL.; one brother, Daniel Stormant, Summerfield, FL.; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 at Long Branch Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Lindsey officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery.
