George Strickland, age 76, of Jasper, FL. passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL. following a brief illness.

George was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County born on June 18, 1943 to the late Joe and Myrtle Zipperer Strickland. George drove a truck for a living as long as his health permitted.

Survivors include his two sons, Michael Stickland (Ella) and Matthew Strickland (Jeannette); five daughters, Lori Strickland, Lisa Strickland, Melynda Strickland, Candice Dunaway and Jessica Dunaway; one brother, William Strickland; also surviving is his wife, Karen Dunaway and a number of grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
