Obituary

Georgia Louise Walker, born August 19, 1953 to George and Nancy MacEwan in Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024.

She met the love of her life, Earl D. Walker, on New Year's Eve in 1981 and they shared 42 years together. During that time, Georgia served proudly as the Ombudsman for the USS Drunm (SSN-677)  and the USS Kentucky (SSBN-737) (Blue), showcasing her dedication to her husband and the Navy community.

Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in a Roman Catholic family, Georgia found strength and guidance in her faith throughout her life. A needlecraft enthusiast, she spent countless joyful hours knitting, crocheting, and creating intricate cross-stitch pieces for her loved ones. Georgia loved dramatic stories, she delighted in watching classic English films and was an avid reader, her favorite author being Truman Capote.

Georgia is survived in life by her husband, Earl D.Walker; her children, Maria Stephens (Danny) of Washington, Desiree Martinelli (Jeremiah), Patrick Walker (Jeff Greenwald), of Colorado and favorite daughter Nancy Walker (Stephanie) of Texas. She is also survived by her brothers, George "Hap" MacEwan and Steve MacEwan; her sisters, Victoria Maltzahn, Vonnie Stark, Carolyn MacEwan, Mollie Diel, and Krissy Luna and her grandchildren whom she deeply loved; Michael, Taylor, David, Jordyn, Lily and Zoey.

Georgia was preceded in death by her beloved Grandma Fork, her parents George and Nancy MacEwan, and her beloved brother, Michael MacEwan.

Her laughter, wit, love of music and signature dance moves will be missed by those who loved Georgia.

Per her request, the family will be hosting a party in Georgia's honor on Sunday, November 24th, at 5 PM at Earl and Georgia's home in Jennings, Florida. It will be a celebration of her life with her favorite music, delicious food, and an abundance of love and laughter.
