Obituary
Georgie Lee Burke, Sr., age 74, of Jennings, FL. passed away early Thursday morning Sept. 13, 2012 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.
Georgie was a native of Andalusia, Alabama born on October 8, 1937 to the late George and Nobbie Burke. He moved to the Jennings area in 1992 from Dade City, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Doris Burke, Jennings, FL.; two sons, Georgie Burke, Jr. (Lynn), Fitzgerald, GA. and James Burke, Rebecca, GA.; two daughters, Vanessa Dowling, Rebecca, GA. and Tonya Burke, Jennings, FL.; a step son, Mark Edward Stephens, Jr. of Maryland; one sister, Betty Jean Brown, Andalusia, AL.; six grandchildren.
Per his wishes, Georgie will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family at 2735 NW 61st Ave, Jennings, FL. 32053.
