Mrs. Geraldine Joyce Theriot, age 67, of Valdosta, GA., passed away Friday, June 12, 2009, from injuries sustained in a pedestrian vs. automobile accident. Mrs. Theriot was born in Echols County, GA., to the late Austin and Lonnie Joyce, and enjoyed life as a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland John Theriot, Sr., a son, John Jr., and a granddaughter, Callie Mae Hunsperger.
Survivors include one son, James Keith Theriot (Renee), Sorrento, LA; two daughters, Sabrina Dalgetty (Frank), St. Louis, Missouri, Gaylynn Theriot Bacon, Sorrento, LA.; one brother, James Austin Joyce, Houston, TX.; five sisters, Jean Young (Robert), Howell, GA., Sandra Giddens (Larry), Jeanette Tucker, Karen Corbitt (Jimmy), all of Statenville, GA and Ena Bernice Benoit, Homerville, GA.; nine grandchildren and two great grandsons.
Memorial services were held Monday, June 15, 2009 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. with Rev. Giddens officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request that financial contributions be made to Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, P.O. Box 71 Jasper, FL to help with the unexpected funeral expenses.
