Gertrude Ann Burnham, age 80, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009 at her daughter's home in Oakfield. Gertrude was born in Flagstaff, Arizona to the late Conrad and Florence Pessarra. She was a member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church. She was a retired school paraprofessional and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her husband, Maxie Burnham and her grandson, James Scott Starnes, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Sonny "Stan" Burnham and his wife, Rose of Bostwick, GA.; daughters, Susan Jane Dingler and her husband, Dale of Oakfield, Kathy Thomas of Birmingham, AL. and Sandy McCall and her husband, Mike of Jasper, FL.; sister, Ollie Betzer of Portland, Oregon; 4 grandchildren, Angie, Wayne, Stanley, Jennifer, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Burnham were conducted Sunday, March 29th at Pine Bluff Baptist Church. Interment followed at Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church at May Day, GA.
