Glen D. Miller, 94, of Jasper, FL, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2024. Glen was born on May 17, 1930 in Bellefontaine, OH, to Robert Hoffman Miller and Martha Marie Thompson. He graduated from Bellefontaine High School with the Class of 1948 and continued in close contact with schoolmates and attended the yearly class reunions through their final reunion (70th) in 2018. In 1951 Glen joined the US Army and served in Korea during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he then enrolled at The Ohio State University and earned an engineering degree in 1959.
Glen retired from PCS (Nutrien) in 2000 and enjoyed many of his remaining years fishing and puttering around the "Fish Camp" at Keaton Beach.
He is survived by his spouse of thirty years, Nancy Copeland Cozort, and his children, David (Carol) Miller, Moncks Corner, SC, Cindy Miller-Grabelsky, Coconut Creek, FL, Susan Miller Harrell, Lake City, FL, and Gregory Scott Miller (Teresa Corbin Bach), Wesley Chapel, FL. Nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his sons, Steven A. Miller (Barbie) and Mark A. Miller, the mother of his children, Nancy Anderson Miller, and his only sibling, Jene (Harley) Kress, Bellefontaine, OH.
It was his wish to be cremated and a graveside service with military honors is tentatively planned for Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Dasher, GA cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post 8095, P.O. Box 1523, Jasper, FL 32052, or Haven Hospice, Lake City, FL.
