IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glenn Albert
Carter
June 8, 1947 – May 20, 2024
Glenn Albert Carter, a long-time resident of Hamilton County, passed away on May 20, 2024. Born on June 8, 1947, in Valdosta, Georgia, to Albert and Vera Mae Carter, Glenn lived a life full of dedication and service.
Glenn graduated from Georgia Christian School and served his country honorably in the Air Force for over four years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, he began a career as an electrician, working for Occidental (now Nutrien) in White Springs, Florida, until his retirement.
A man of curiosity and ingenuity, Glenn enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. He never threw anything away as he may eventually find himself in need of it. He was also an avid viewer of Fox News, staying informed on current events.
Glenn is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie Lim (Jay) of Bristow, Virginia, and Shauna Sefsic of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind his cherished sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Tedder of Newnan, Georgia, and his brother-in-law, Mac McCollum of Glen St. Mary. Glenn was a grandfather to five grandchildren: Taylor Jordan, Brooke Lim, Grace Lim, Bella Lim, and Emilie Lim.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie Earlene Burnam Carter, Glenn's memory will be cherished by all who loved him. He is also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jeff Sefsic; his sister, Peggy McCollum; and his brother, Alan Carter.
A graveside service to honor Glenn's life will be held at Burnham Christian Church on Saturday, May 25th, at 11 a.m.
