Gloria Jean Graves Pittman, born on October 15, 1968, to Edward and Rose Graves in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, surrounded by peace and the adoration of her family. Gloria was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend who lived to love.

Gloria had a fondness for rock-n-roll music and a dedication for cheering on the Florida Gator football team like no other. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and cooking for them. Her warmth and love touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Gary Owen Pittman; her sons, James Owen Pittman (Michaela) of Lake City, FL, and Ryan Pittman (Niya) of Gainesville, FL; her daughters, Nicole Gleason (Chris) of Lake Park, GA, Scarlett Clifton (William) of Jasper, Brittany Whiddon (Bobby) of Jennings, and Jennifer Pittman of Jennings; her father, Edward Graves of Jacksonville, FL; her brothers, Levi Boree (Karen) of Jacksonville, Edward Graves (Mary) of North Carolina, and James Graves (Angie) of Jacksonville; her sisters, Lilly Korey (Freddey) of Madison, FL, and Shirley Conners of Madison, FL; her grandchildren, Dylan Blanton, Landen Crews, Riley-Jase Gleason, Nathan Wheeler, Makenna Wheeler, Aubrey Whiddon, Eli Whiddon, and Landyn Clifton; and her great-grandson, Lincoln Blanton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Demaggio Graves, and her sister, Rosemary Fipps.

Gloria's family will receive friends at a visitation on Monday, May 20th, 2024, at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, Florida, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service to honor Gloria's life will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church in Jennings, FL, at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow immediately in the church cemetery.
