Gloria Jean McGauley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, surrounded by family, on February 28, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on September 26, 1943, in Perry, FL, Gloria was the daughter of Quincy McDonald and Myrtice Hurst.

Gloria's life was one of profound love and dedication to her family and faith. As a devout member of Harvest Fellowship Church in Jasper, FL, she found peace and strength in her spiritual community. Gloria's unwavering faith illuminated her path and touched the lives of those around her.

Above all else, Gloria cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother. Her love knew no bounds, and her family was her world. Whether gathered around the dinner table, sharing laughter during family outings, or offering comforting words in times of need, Gloria's presence radiated warmth and love.

Gloria is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Leon McGauley; her parents, Quincey McDonald and Myrtice Hurst; and her brother, Hollie McDonald of Jasper, FL. She is survived by her son, Douglas McGauley (Karen) of Jasper, FL; her daughter, Karen Folsom (Steve) of Jasper, FL; her brother, Wayne McDonald (Dorothy) of Jasper, FL; her sister-in-laws, Jean Fralick of Jasper, FL and Lana Wisenbaker (Peyton) of Jennings, FL; her brother-in-law, John McGauley (Nancy) of Fort Wayne, IN; her grandchildren, Ashleigh Allen (Heath) of Valdosta, GA and Megan Johns of Dunnellon, FL; her step-grandchildren, Kari Mason, Caden Mason, and Harper Mason all of Orlando, FL, and Tyler Folsom of Conroe, TX; her great-grandchildren, Rhett Allen and Reese Allen; her aunt, Betty Brearley of Jasper, FL; many nieces and nephews; and her life-long friend, Julie Belote of Jasper, FL.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
