Gussie Register Cheshire, age 88, of White Springs, FL. passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper. Gussie was born in Echols County, Georgia on November 8, 1922 to the late Joe and Bessie Wetherington Register. She married the love of her life "B.C" Bernie Cheshire. Mrs. Cheshire worked for 24 years at Stephen Foster Memorial and was a faithful member of White Springs First Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Lamar Cheshire and two sisters, Minnie Stormant and Betty Jo Lindsey. Gussie will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Charles Clyatt of Lake City, FL.;
three brothers, Loyd Register, Jasper, FL., Loye Register, and Donnell Register, both of Jacksonville, FL.; two sisters, Ruby Shaw, White Springs, FL. and Phyllis Frazee, Pomona Park, FL.; three grandchildren, Tracy Brannon (Ronnie), Lake City, FL., Bernie Howey, Lake City, FL. and Dawn Calvosa (Eddie), Orange County, CA.; four great grandchildren, Victoria Howey (Tori), Joseph Erickson, Brandon Howey and Rachel Calvosa.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at White Springs First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Thompson and Rev. Lowell O'Steen officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery.
