Gwendolyn Perkins, age 78, of Macclenny, Florida passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville. Gwendolyn was a native of Jasper, Florida born on May 29, 1937 to the late James Willie Perkins and Ollie Mae Caldwell Perkins. She graduated from Central High School and attended Jones Business College in Jacksonville. She was afforded the luxury of being a world traveler through her work with Pan American World Airways, Eastern Airlines and Continental Airlines.
Gwendolyn was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Anna Ruth Terry, Mary Nell Powers and Catherine Marcile Powers.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Eileen Cook and her husband Gerald of Glen St. Mary, Florida; two brothers, Raymond Perkins of Virginia and Alfred Bruce Perkins, of Florida; two sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Florida and Joyce Snow of Maryland; one granddaughter, Ami Tobitha Smith and her husband Jimmy; three grandchildren, Aislyn, James Benjamin and Abigail Smith; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Florida with Pastor Don Thompson officiating.
