Harlan G. Lambert (81) of Jennings, Florida passed away at 10:22 p.m. on Saturday the 8 th day of July, 2017 after a brief stay at the Haven Hospice Center in Lake City, Florida, surrounded by his family.
Harlan was born on August 5, 1935 in Wells County, Indiana to Arthur Joseph Lambert and Wanita I. Eichhorn. He graduated in 1953 from Rock Creek High School. Harlan joined the United States Army in 1954. After his military service he attended Lively Vocational School in Tallahassee, Florida and obtained his A & P License. Harlan married Mary Martha Cunningham on June 21, 1959 at Burnham Christian Church in Jennings, Florida. For many years he served on the board at Hamilton County Farm Bureau, Hamilton County Planning and Zoning Board, and Hamilton County Soil Conservation Service. Harlan was preceded in death by his wife Mary Martha on July 13, 2006.
Survivors include his two sons, Charles Grant Lambert (Brenda) and Clay Gregory Lambert of Jennings, Florida; his daughter, Carla Gayle Rizer (Craig) of Quitman, Georgia; one brother, Oliver Daniel Lambert and one sister, Ada Mae Campbell both of Bluffton, Indiana; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Burnham Christian Church in Jennings with Bro. Bruce Myers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
