Harry David Anderson, Sr., age 67, Jasper, FL .passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours on Friday, August 7, 2015 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.
Mr. Anderson was born January 26, 1948 in Jacksonville, FL. to the late Carl Alton Anderson Sr. and Elva Ada Broxton Anderson. He moved from Jacksonville to Jasper, FL. in the mid 70's and worked as a millwright and dragline maintenance supervisor at Occidental/PCS until his retirement in the early 90's. While this was his job of record, everyone that knew him, knew he was a jack of all trades.
Mr. Anderson was affiliated with the Matthew 25 Prison Outreach Program in Jacksonville and traveled all over the state of Florida with the prison ministry. He was an antique car enthusiast and spent countless hours out with his fellow enthusiast on the roads enjoying and sharing the beauty of the many restored cars and trucks.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Emily Miller Anderson, Jasper; two sons whom he loved very much, Harry David Anderson, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Lake City, FL. and Jay Anderson and his wife Tresca of Live Oak, FL.; one brother, Arthur Anderson (Sherri), St. George, GA.; three sisters, Betty Hopson (Tommy), Linda Robson (Bob) and Sandra Johnson (Dale), all of Jacksonville, FL.; two grandchildren, Sarah and Ian Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services were held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Rev. Garvie Nichols officiating. David's sister delivered the eulogy for the service.


Interment will be held at Carter Cemetery at a later date.
