Harry "Trammell" Reid, III, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, following an extended illness. He was 59 years old.
Born on December 31, 1966, in Gainesville, Florida, Trammell was the beloved son of the late Harry Trammell Reid, Jr. and Mary Lou Owens Reid. He loved his mother deeply, and the bond they shared remained a constant source of strength and comfort throughout his life.
Trammell had a lifelong love for the outdoors. When his health permitted, he was an avid hunter and fisherman who found great joy in nature. His favorite place was the family farm in Bellville, where he treasured spending time surrounded by the land he loved. He was also a devoted Florida Gators football fan who rarely missed cheering on his team.
A graduate of forestry school, Trammell had a deep appreciation for the natural world. During his high school years, he was proud to play baseball for Lowndes High School, where he formed lasting friendships and memories.
Trammell was especially cherished by his grandmother, Kathryn Reid, and it was often said that he was the apple of her eye. Their special bond remained a treasured part of his life and of the family's memories.
In addition to his father, Trammell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry T. Reid, Kathryn Reid and Louise Owens, as well his uncle, Harrell Reid.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mary Lou Reid; his devoted wife, Brittany; and his stepson, Josh Zorn. He is also survived by his cousins, Katy Reid Land and J. Reid, as well as several beloved cousins and many friends who will remember him for his love of family, the outdoors, and his quiet strength.
