Obituary

Harry Lee Wainscott was born to Lonnie and Lilian Wainscott July, 6, 1926. He spent his childhood and youth on the family farm in Western KY.

Preceded in death by son David ( 2 days ), daughter Karen (Katsumi) Wainscott-Kang (63). Survived by his wife of over 76 years, Roberta (95) and sons Lloyd (65) & David (60). Grandchildren Starre (Brett) Tearney (48), Chris Wainscott (28), Pari Wainscott (25), Elizabeth Wainscott (16), great-grandchild Ella Tearney (14) and his sister Alma Clunan (91).

Harry was a graduate of Georgetown College in 1949, Georgetown, KY and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1953, Louisville, KY.
Harry enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. He played on his college basketball team, and had a love for golf in his adult years.

Harry was called to the ministry at the age of 17, and he served the Lord for 48 1/2 years in an official capacity as a minister; serving in over 10 churches throughout his calling, in KY, OH, MI and FL. However, his ministry to those he knew, met and in his orbit continued right up until his death.

Harry touched innumerable lives as a pastor, a car salesman, a retiree, and in his later "career" as a cashier at Publix and Walmart.
