Mrs. Helen Margaret Adicks, age 89, of Jasper, FL., passed away Friday evening, October 3, 2008 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper. Mrs. Adicks was born December 16, 1918 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Rev. H.O. and Augusta Howard Hughes. The family moved to Jasper some years later and in June of 1937 she married the love of her life, Eugene Nicholas Adicks. They made their home together in Jasper until his death on July 27, 2006. Mrs. Adicks was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jasper.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Eleanor Adicks of Dunlap, Tennessee; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Jack Harrison of Lake Park, Georgia; one brother, Richard P. Hughes, Jacksonville, FL.; four grandchildren, Kent, Kyle and Lori Adicks and Nicole Rupert; five great grandchildren, Jordan and Jason Adicks, Nick, Janie and Jackson Rupert; and close friend of the family, Rhonda Chapman.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 7th at the First Presbyterian Church. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Suwannee Valley Nursing Center or Haven Hospice.
