Helen Marie Fye, age 87, of Jasper, FL. passed away at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. following an extended illness.

Marie was born in Bartow, FL. on Feb. 11, 1932 to the late Maldon Hiram Smith and Minnie Lee Russ Smith.

Marie was a private duty caretaker for many years. She is remembered fondly in the community for the kindness she bestowed on families that needed help during a time when they could not sit home with their loved ones. She enjoyed getting out and going to Rooster's for lunch and stopping over at the post office to visit with folks in the community. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Fye.

She is survived by her son, Timmy Fye and daughters, Margaret Bell, Nancy Young and Mary Helen Goins.

She was laid to rest beside her husband Terry at Evergreen Cemetery (Priviate Burial) on December 14, 2019
