Helen Elizabeth Williams Kansky, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and talented artist, passed away July 17th, 2024. Born on June 9, 1939, in Jennings, FL, she was the cherished daughter of John R. and Helen Inez Williams.

Helen dedicated over 30 years of her life as a keypunch operator for Eastern Airlines and then for Jackson Memorial Hospital in Dade County. Following her retirement, she continued to make a difference by teaching in Safety Harbor, FL. There, she worked with deaf infants, teaching them to communicate with their hearing parents and instructing parents on how to communicate with their children.

Helen was a woman of many talents, particularly in the arts. She created numerous drawings and paintings and excelled in various crafts. Her creative spirit was matched by her deep faith, as she attended New Hope Baptist Church in Jasper, FL.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Inez Nichols (Norman) of Jasper, FL, and her sister, Susan Jobe (Bill) of Bartlesville, OK. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Todd Nichols (Brittany) and Evan Nichols (Kelli), and a great-granddaughter, Ava. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Kansky, her sister, Joanna Cassady, and her brother-in-law, Clyde Cassady.

A funeral service to honor Helen's life will be held at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL, on Monday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for a visitation just before the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at Hebron Cemetery in Jasper, FL.

Helen's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
