Herman Roderic "Rodney" Hudson, of Jennings, FL. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the age of 60.

Rodney was the son of the late Herman R. Hudson and the late Jewell Bennett Sapp.

He was born in Jasper, FL. but Georgia was his homebase for much of his life. He lived for 13 years in Mississippi and was making preparations to move back out there but the Lord had the master plan. Rodney was a millwright and as such was able to travel all over the world working. When he was not working, he enjoyed the easier life of hunting and fishing like most Georgia boys do. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Sapp, Jr.

Survivors include his two sisters, Sylvia Rhames and her husband Ronnie  and Julie Black and her husband John. Also surviving is his half-sister, Tracey Williams and her husband Lee. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.

Interment  followed at Staten Cemetery near Statenville, GA.
