Hollie David McDonald, Sr., age 77, of Jasper, FL. passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA.

Hollie was born on April 4, 1941 in Perry, FL. to the late Quincy and Myrtice Ezell McDonald. The family moved to Jasper during his middle school years. As a young man Hollie started learning the art of carpentry after school with the local contractors. He perfected his craft and took pride in individualizing each project to make it special. Hollie enjoyed working outdoors and landscaping projects. Never far from his side was his pup "Buddy". Hollie attended church at West Lake Church of God.

Hollie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Grace McDonald; four sons, David McDonald (Tracy), Jasper, FL., Darryl McDonald, Paul McDonald (Alisha), Valdosta, GA. and Brent McDonald (April), Jennings, FL.; two daughters, Kim Williamson (Danny) of Lake Park, GA. and Kathy Carter (Hannan) of Jennings, FL.; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Dorothy B. McDonald, Jasper, FL.; one sister, Gloria McGauley, Jasper, FL.; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019 at West Lake Church of God near Jennings, FL. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
