Obituary

Inez V. Henderson, age 51, of Statenville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.

Inez was born in Valdosta, Georgia and was a lifelong resident of Echols County. She was a little mother hen all of her life. She was raised with her two sisters and a brother and she always tried to make life just a little bit better for them. She married and began to have a family of her own and that little family consisted of four little boys. She raised them to be boys, always out hunting and fishing, enjoying God's beauty at the beach or taking care of the honey bees. Her life had a little rain when she had to give up her little Nascar buddy Dustin. Dustin was not well and as hard as it was to do, she knew God had a better plan for him. She also watched her nephew, Michael Carter go to be with Jesus as well and so when it came her turn, she reminded her sons that she had people waiting for her in heaven.
Inez was always an encourager. She worked as a bus driver and  paraprofessional with the Echols County School System for fifteen plus years. She worked with children and found herself teaching and mothering hundreds of students over the many years. She loved her job and her students and co-workers loved her. Inez was part of another family and that was the family at Statenville Church of God.

Survivors include her three sons, Matt Henderson (Erica) of Needmore, GA., Keith Henderson of Statenville, GA., and Dalton "D.J." Henderson (Irene) of Statenville, GA.; her sister, Cissy Knight of Statenville, Ga., her brother, Gilford "Bubba" Knight of Valdosta, GA.; and her sister, Jeannette Nichols of Lake Park, GA.; her faithful companion, Arthur Henderson; her nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, Britany Patten (Jordan), Gracie Inez Knight her "Mini Me", Destiny Knight, Alexis Nichols, Katlyn Nichols, Madison Nichols, Morgan Nichols, Kylan Moore, Zayden Knight, Carter Patten and Lennex Patten; and she would never leave out her fur babies. Also surviving are her parents, Gilford and Velma Knight.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Statenville Church of God. Interment followed at Boney Bluff Cemetery.
