Obituary

Inez McGhin, age 86, of Jasper, FL. passed away early Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper, FL. Mrs. McGhin was born Agnes Inez Combess in White Springs, FL. on February 28, 1928 to the late William and Nancy Bass Combess. She grew up in the White Springs area and attended school in White Springs where she played basketball. By trade she was a hairdresser for many years but was probably best known for her role as devoted wife to "Kayo" McGhin and dedicated mother of four children, all of whom she was extremely proud of. A little known fact was that she grew up loving the family pet pig "Tootsie". She was a faithful member of Jasper First Presbyterian Church and attended there as long as her health permitted. As her health declined she moved away to be near her daughter and only recently returned to Jasper. Inez was preceded in death by one brother, five sisters and her beloved husband, Clyde W. "Kayo" McGhin, Sr.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy McGhin Stewart (Terry), Brentwood, TN; three sons, Clyde McGhin, Jasper, FL., William McGhin (Sheila), New Port Richey, FL. and Steven McGhin (Kathy), Jennings, FL.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held  Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL. with Pastor Fred Gaylard officiating.
