Irene B. Vaughn, age 89, of Jasper, FL. passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL. Born Catherine Irene, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Essie Brantley Burnett. She was a homemaker most of her life and longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church. She liked being outdoors and loved being on the riverbank fishing. Ms. Vaughn was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson "Jack" Vaughn, her parents, Tom and Essie, one sister, Estelle Seckinger, and four brothers, Charlie, Tommy, Hugh and Buril Burnett.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lanie and Frank "Pete" Crosby of Jasper; two grandchildren, Jason Crosby and his wife Jennifer and Catherine "Cathy" Coleman and her husband Omar; six great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Wallace, Elizabeth, Rose, Landon and Brooke.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Deas and Pastor Pat Patten officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
