James Ernest Burnham, Sr. "Monk", age 65, of White Springs, FL. passed away Monday, May 4, 2009 at his home. Mr. Burnham was born in Lake City, FL. to the late James Monroe and Bertha Irene Hillhouse Burnham. He retired from the Department of Transportation where he worked as a draftsman, mapping out road projects. He attended the Suwannee Nazarene Church near White Springs. Mr. Burnham was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Burnham and son, Jamie Burnham.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan Sanchez, White Springs, FL.; one brother, Ray Burnham (Carolyn) and three sisters, Bertie Hester, Jean Morris (J.L.) and Betty Gaines (Dewey), all of White Springs, FL.; five grandchildren, Daren Sanchez Jr., Tyler Sanchez, Melissa Burnham, James Burnham and Bryar Burnham; one great grandchild, Victory Sanchez; also surviving is close friend, Grace Hardy, of White Springs.
Graveside services were held Thursday, May 7th at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, FL.
