James Daryl Smith, age 66, of Jasper, FL. passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Shands U.F. in Gainesville, FL.
Mr. Smith was born in Douglas, Georgia on February 5, 1949 to Jesse and Janice Smith. He was in the dairy business with his father.
Survivors include one son, James Smith and his wife Rachael of Winder, GA.; three daughters, Jeanice Hillhouse and her husband Cecil of White Springs, FL., Christy Smith of Burnsville, N.C. and Claudia Smith of Bulls Gap, TN; his mother, Janice Smith of Jasper, FL.; two brothers, Jerry Francis Smith and his wife Linda of Alma, GA and Jesse Wilson Smith and his wife Donna of Cartersville, GA.; one sister, Janice Lauer and her husband Michael of Jasper, FL.; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on Friday, August 28, 2015 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid
Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. with Pastor Steve Thompson officiating.
