Mr. James Horace McCall, Jr., age 84, of Jasper, FL. passed away Monday, September 5, 2011
at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center following an extended illness. Mr. McCall was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County. He retired after some 20 years as grounds keeper at the Suwannee River Valley Country Club and Golf Course and was a well-known successful farmer. Mr. McCall was a faithful member of Divonia Baptist Church near Jasper.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Lafayette Mathis McCall; two sons, James McCall (Wanda) and Mike McCall (Sandy); one daughter, Julia Cooper (Andy), all of Jasper, FL.; one brother, Amos McCall, Valdosta, GA; three grandchildren, Kylie Cooper, Mitzee McCall and Greg McCall; three great grandchildren, Katlin, Nicholas and Savannah.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 at Divonia Baptist Church with Pastor Ray Shaw officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
