Obituary

James Robert Miller, known as "Bobby" to friends and loved ones, died peacefully on October 26, 2008. Bobby was born June 1, 1931 in High Springs, FL. He served four years in the United States Coast Guard and graduated from the University of Florida in 1957 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He married Wyonas Pennington in 1953 in Florida and in 1960 they moved to Arizona with their two children. James worked as a civil engineer/bridge designer at the Arizona Department of Transportation from 1960 until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed traveling, reading, his cats and working around the house. He loved classical music and old movies.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wyonas; his daughter, Roberta; his son, James; his granddaughter, Jamie; three sisters, JoAnn Anderson, Emily Anderson and Marion Lawson; and a brother, Dale Miller.
A reception and celebration of his life was held Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the family home.
