Obituary

James Mallory Morgan, age 80 of White Springs, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his beloved farm in Genoa, Florida.

J.M. graduated from White Springs High School in 1954. He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of Hamilton County. He served on numerous agricultural committees and as a deacon of the First Baptist Church in White Springs until failing health caused him to step down from his duties. J. M. was a gifted musician, singer, and songwriter who performed throughout his life to the delight of family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty years, Martha Dees Morgan, one son, Alan Morgan (Diana), White Springs, FL; a daughter, Sherry Bush (Waylon), White Springs, FL.; two grandchildren, Brandon Bush, Palm Harbor, FL and Morgan Hall (Matthew), Live Oak FL; three great-grandchildren, Hali Adams, Wyatt and Trinity Hall; one sister, Rheba Lee (Ronnie), White Springs, FL. and numerous nieces and nephews. J. M. was pre-deceased by his parents, Mallory and Idell Zorn Morgan; sisters, Corene Morgan Fouraker, Delvene Morgan Leighty; and brother, Durwood Morgan (Linda).

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in White Springs with Bro. Brandon Witt, Bro. Ron Thompson and Bro. Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, Florida.
