James Alfred Williams, Sr., age 77, of Jasper, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at his home. Mr. Williams was born September 22, 1935 in Fargo, Georgia to the late Alec and Arti C Griffis. He retired from PCS where he worked for a number of years. Mr. Williams moved to the Jasper area in 1968 from Fargo. He was a member and past master of the John M. Caldwell Masonic Lodge #70 and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church near Jasper. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Dell Williams and twin daughters, Carol Ann and Cheryl Jan.

Survivors include one son, Al Williams and his wife Tessy of Jasper, FL.; one daughter, Gayle Trinder and her husband Bill of Jasper, FL.; five grandchildren, Stephanie Zipperer, Sue Thornbury (Glen), Will Harvey (Brandi), Shirley Smith (Jay) and Jenna Zeigler (Jami); ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church. Interment followed at Fargo Cemetery in Fargo, Georgia.
