Obituary

Jeffrey Alan Plemmons, 60, of Jasper, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2024. He was born on August 1, 1964, in Atlanta, Georgia, to William and Mary Plemmons. A dedicated Mason and a beloved scout leader for both the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, Jeffrey touched many lives through his leadership and kindness.

Jeffrey had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing. In fact, if he wasn't working, he was fishing, and if he wasn't fishing, he was talking about it. His passion for the sport was well known, and his happiest moments were spent casting a line. Jeffrey also took great pride in his work, finding joy and fulfillment in his many tasks and projects.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his sons, Gregory Plemmons (Shelly) of St. George, GA, and Justin Plemmons (Michelle Perdomo) of Nashville, GA; his daughters, Catherine Hollingsworth of Jasper, FL, and Annette Plemmons of Gainesville, FL; and his brothers, Gary Plemmons of McDonough, GA, and Steve Plemmons of Bowling Green, KY. Jeffrey was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Sofia Plemmons, Ashton Ditman, and Milo Perdomo Plemmons. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Plemmons, and his sister, Alicia Turley.

The family will welcome friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. A celebration of life honoring Jeffrey will be held at a later date.

Jeffrey's memory will live on through his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. His love for fishing and his generous spirit will be cherished forever.
