IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffry Charles
Eli Henson
July 22, 1988 – July 20, 2025
Jeffry Charles Eli Henson, of Old Town, Florida, passed away on July 20, 2025. He was born July 22, 1988, in Brandon, Florida, to Charles and Valerie Henson.
Jeffry was a hardworking, gifted mechanic who had a passion for figuring out how things work. If it was broken, he could fix it. If it wasn't broken, he would break it so he could fix it. When he wasn't working, Jeffry could be found under the hood of a car or behind the wheel. Jeffry had a big heart and would do anything for his friends and family. He had a huge smile and was full of life and energy. He was fearless, adventurous, and loved to push things to the limit.
His greatest blessing was his son Rylan who shared his dad's love for working with his hands and has all his dad's best qualities. Jeffry was days away from marrying his fiancé Christina, who was the love of his life and a stabilizing influence. He was excited about becoming a dad to Serenity who he affectionately referred to as "baby girl."
While Jeffry had his share of difficulties, he was determined to overcome his past and become the man everyone believed he could be. While facing daily struggles, Jeffry placed his faith in Jesus Christ, being heard throughout the day talking to God. His family and friends have hope in Jeffry's personal testimony: "me and the good Lord are on good terms!"
Jeffry is survived by his loving and dedicated parents, Charles (Chip) and Valerie Henson of Old Town, FL; his son, Rylan Henson of Gainesville, FL; his fiancé, Christina Gipson and her daughter Serenity of Perry, FL; his brothers, Joshua Henson (Dina) of Lakeland, FL and Justin Henson (Lauren) of Bronson, FL; his sister, Victoria Townsend (Brock) of Old Town, FL; and his grandmother, Jean Johnson of Chiefland, FL. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts and uncles, cousins, and his nieces and nephews: Emily, Makenzie, Joe, A.J., Alex, Wyatt, Paydon, and Madisyn.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Alice Henson of Plant City, FL and Billy Joe Johnson of Old Town, FL; his aunt, Freda Osborn of Jasper, FL; and his uncle, Blake Davis of Chiefland, FL.
