Jessie Parker, age 78, resident of Dothan, Alabama and former White Springs resident, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. Mr. Parker was born in Lake City, Florida on October 6, 1932. He retired from Occidental after 20 years and moved to Dothan about two years ago to be closer to his daughter. While in Dothan he attended Friendship Assembly of God and was a member of White Springs Church of God. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his wife Marie in May of 1995.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Parker, Tallahassee, FL., Judy Carroll, Dothan, AL., and Frances Burns, Tallahassee, FL.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, FL. with Rev. Randy Ogburn officiating.
