Joe Elbert Dampier, age 70, of Jennings, FL. passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 19, 2020.

Joe was born in Lakeland, Georgia on June 13, 1950 to the late Robert and Annie Lou Bailey Dampier. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. in his down time Joe loved fishing and racing. He was a member of Bright Pond Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Phyliss Bennett Dampier; two sons, Willard Dampier and Joe Dampier, Jr.; one brother, Robert Dampier (Glenda); one sister, Alice Whiden; two granddaughters, Lauren Moody and Tiffeny Norman; three great grandchildren, Remington L. Norman, Rider Moody and Jaylee Moody.

Per his wishes, Joe will be cremated. It was also his wish that there be no formal services.
