IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John David
Alford
January 6, 1961 – March 26, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John David Alford, 64, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by family.
John was born in January 6,1961 to Bill and Margaret (Bell) Alford. He was a loving husband to his wife Kelly Brown, and a devoted stepfather to his daughters Danielle Jones (Jonathan) and Erin Milicevic.
John worked with the Hamilton County Road Department for 28 years. He was often called by the people in this county to come fix their road. John was known by all to be the best road grader man around and he certainly took pride in his work.
Before working for the Hamilton County Road Department, John worked for more than 20 years managing various auto parts stores. I never found anything that this man couldn't fix. He was amazing!
In John's spare time he enjoyed turkey hunting was an avid fisherman, gunsmith, gardening, canning and a gourmet cook. He was also a very talented artist. His artistic flare amazed us all.
John is predeceased by his parents Bill and Margaret (Bell) Alford, sisters Inez Alford (Keen), Connie Alford (Rhinehart) brothers Charles Alford, Billie Alford and Thomas Alford.
John is survived by his wife Kelly Brown, of Live Oak, Florida, step-daughters Danielle Jones of Jennings, Florida, and Erin Milicevic of Cochran, Georgia, sisters Alice (Sally) White (Mike) of Lake Park, Georgia, Bobbie Jean Laseter of Lake Park, Georgia, Sarah (Pat) Harris of Jasper, Florida and brother Jack Alford of Jasper, Florida, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
We would like to thank the community and friends of Johns for all their calls and support during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held for John at the home of Jonathan and Danielle Jones, Jennings, Florida. This will be announced at a later date.
