Obituary

John Bracewell, Jr., age 72, lifelong resident of Jasper, entered external rest Wednesday February 17, 2021 peacefully at home with his family by his side. John fought for our country in the Vietnam War, earned a purple heart in 1969. He served honorably in the US army and National Guard until 1974. John retired from PCS Phosphate in 2009, as a dragline operator.
He had a passion for fishing, if he only fished to catch fish, his fishing would have ended long ago. The memories he made while fishing were his favorite to tell.
Preceded in death by his father John Sr. and his special friend of 30 plus years, Voncille.

He is survived by his mother, Clara, 3 sons John (Ashley), Ralph (Brandy) and Bernie (Crystal) 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren (2 more on the way) John was blessed to have a large extended/blended family.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Rosemary Baptist Church in Live Oak.
