John H. Papesca, 82,of Jasper, Florida passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Papesca, better known as "Uncle Johnny", was born in the Bronx, New York and moved to this area about 40 years ago from Butler, New Jersey. He was a long time member of Saint Therese Catholic Church in Jasper Fl. and enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with his family. Johnny was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years Dolores A. Papesca "Aunt Chickie" and is survived by Daughter Tina Papesca; sons Johnny Jr. and his wife Kaitlin, Jay and his wife Diane and Joey; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00pm Friday, 8-4-17, in Saint Therese Catholic Church, US Highway 41 N. Jasper Florida 32052 with Father Tony Basso as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 PM Thursday at the church.
