Joni Elizabeth Jones Scarborough, age 59, of Flowery Branch, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Hospice following an illness of some time.

Joni was a native of Hamilton County, Florida. She was born on August 22, 1960 in Jasper to Billy and Alice Royals Jones. Joni always had a beautiful smile but it was her vibrant personality that made her the natural beauty that she was. She charmed everyone that ever knew her. She made her home in Lake Park, Georgia for many years before moving to the Atlanta area and joined the Delta family as a flight attendant. Following a career with Delta, she found herself looking for more and found her place with Primerica, Inc. In her spare time, Joni found she had a passion for Senior rescue dogs and what they had to offer. She was gifted in decorating and enjoyed decorating her home. She loved Zumba and the girls she got to work out with. She loved the positive influence they had on her life. They were a positive influence in her life. Joni was blessed in that she was baptized at and was a member at Free Chapel Church in Gainesville, GA. Joni was preceded in death by her father, Billy A. Jones.

Survivors include her two sons Colby McCulley and his wife Heather of Gainesville, FL. and Chase McCulley of Valdosta, GA; her mother, Alice R. Jones of Jasper, FL.; one brother, Greg Jones also of Jasper, FL.; two grandchildren, Hayden and Parker McCulley; and her fiancé, Matt Hubler of Flowery Branch, GA.

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Jasper First United Methodist Church in Jasper, FL. with Pastor Missy Turbeville officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
