Joseph Frank Greenman, 64, of White Springs, FL, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on September 14, 2024. Born on October 10, 1959, to Jose Ferreira and Maria Goncalves Antunes in Madeira Island, Portugal, Joseph was a beloved member of his community, where he worked as a sales clerk at Dollar General.
Joseph was known for his bright spirit, always bringing light and happiness to those around him. His cheerful nature and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike. Respected for his strong work ethic and helpful attitude, Joseph was someone who could always be counted on with a smile.
Outside of work, Joseph found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time in his garden, nurturing plants and enjoying the peacefulness of nature. His dogs were a constant source of happiness for him, and he found comfort and companionship in their loyalty.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Maria Goncalves Antunes; his sisters, Albertina Carvalho of Massachusetts and Deolinda Valles of Pensacola, FL; and his brother, Antonio Ferreira of New Hampshire. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ferreira, his husband, David Greenman, both of whom he cherished deeply, and his sister, Maria Dias.
Joseph will be remembered for his warmth, his joy for life, and the love he shared with his family, friends, and pets. His sudden passing is a great loss to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed
A memorial service to honor Joseph's life is being planned to be held at a later date.
