Obituary

Joshua Adam Hopkins, age 37, of Lake Butler FL., passed away on Tuesday evening, December 7, 2021, from complications following a battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

Joshua was born October 9, 1983 in Live Oak, FL. He was a former resident of Jasper, FL. Joshua was a 1999 graduate of Crystal River High School. Life was not always easy but Joshua made the best of it. He was predeceased by his mother, Brenda Gayle Mercer and his grandmother, LaVonne "Betty" Tomlinson.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Richard D. Hopkins, Jr. and Elena V. Perry of Vancouver, WA; his sister, Angela Brady and her husband Dominic of Lake City, FL. and their children, Brooklyn Beam, Dallas Smith, Jackson Brady and Charlotte Brady, his sister, Abigayle Morgan and her husband Cyrus Morgan and their son, Zebulun Morgan of East Machias, Maine; his two brothers, Ryan Hopkins of Jonesboro, Maine and Ricky Mercer of Lake City, FL.;  his step-brother, John Scott McClure Perry of Yacolt, WA; he is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout Florida and Maine.

Joshua will be ever loved, always missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 8, 2022  in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home.
