IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith "Judy"
Ann Hill
April 1, 1944 – March 30, 2025
Judith "Judy" Ann Hill, 80, of Jennings, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Born on April 1, 1944, in Portland, Maine, to Howard and Margorie White, Judy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Judy met her husband, Madison "Shorty" Hill, in Portland while he was stationed nearby in Brunswick, Maine during his service in the U.S. Navy. Judy worked as a secretary for the State of Maine until the birth of their first child, when she chose to dedicate herself fully to raising her family. The couple later moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where they lived for 25 years. Judy briefly returned to work as a secretary for IBM before eventually settling in Jennings, Florida, following Madison's retirement. Married for 58 wonderful years, Judy and Shorty built a beautiful life together and raised two beloved sons, Madison Jr. and Brian.
Judy was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a true ray of sunshine to all who knew her. She found joy in life's simple pleasures—spending time with her family, knitting, playing cards with Shorty, and searching for Indian artifacts. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit created a loving home and left an enduring legacy of compassion and cherished memories.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Madison "Shorty" Hill, Sr.; her sons, Madison Hill, Jr. (Carmen) and Brian Hill, both of Jennings, Florida.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, Florida.
Judy's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
