Judith "Judy" Small Moore, age 76, of Jasper, FL passed away Tuesday June 22, 2023 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Home. Judy was born to the late Hubert and Juanita Averiett Small in Fulton County, GA on March 31, 1947. Judy was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County, FL. Judy obtained her AA degree and worked as both a dedicated substitute teacher and administrative assistant for most her career. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed fishing and had quite the knack for it. A skill she passed on to both her sons and other members of her family. In addition to fishing, Judy loved watching sports and football was her favorite. She was an avid Florida Gator fan and could be found most Saturdays watching and rooting for her beloved Florida Gators. Despite being a passionate Gator fan, when it came to rooting for a team, Judy would say "if they are from the South, you pull for them." She was also very active in local and national politics. Judy's family and friends will remember her most for her big heart. She was a caring soul and she genuinely loved people and never met a stranger.  She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Jasper and was very active in the church until her health declined.

Survivors include her sons, John and Allen Moore both of Jasper, FL and three grandchildren, Ashley Moore Land, Clay Moore and Avery Moore.

A viewing will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home at 1 pm with funeral services to follow at 2 pm in the chapel at Harry T. Reid Funeral home. She will be laid to rest at her beloved homestead, the Moore Family cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org, or First United Methodist Church of Jasper, 405 Central Ave., Jasper, FL 32052.
