Judith Smith, born December 21, 1946, at the home of her parents, Phynis and Edith Goolsby in Jasper, FL, passed away at the age of 77. She was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and graduated from Jasper High School in 1964. In 1965, she married the love of her life, William "Delmer" Smith, and together, they shared a beautiful life.

Judith was a devoted member of West Lake Church of God, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including camping, watching the sunset at Keaton Beach, tending to her yard, working on puzzles, and visiting the mountains. Judith was a talented artist, enjoying painting, and creating beautiful cross-stitch, and her exceptional sewing skills were admired by all who knew her.  For many years, Judith dedicated herself to her work at Jasper Textile in Jasper, FL.  However, above all, Judith's heart belonged to her family. She cherished her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew her.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents, Phynis and Edith Goolsby.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William "Delmer" Smith; her sons, William "Tony" Smith of Jasper and Timothy Scott Smith of White Springs; her daughter, Tammi Curry (Billy) of Jennings; her sisters, Rita Goolsby (Freddie) of Valdosta, GA, and Donna Bilot (John) of Jasper; seven grandchildren: Stephen Morris, Heather Edenfield (Josh), Will Curry (Stacy), Jordan Eastberg (Phelan), Jristin Smith (Hannah), Kaleb Smith, and Tegan Filyaw; eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A time of visitation will be held at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL, on Tuesday, January 23, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, at Westlake Church of God in Jennings, FL, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
