Judy Dawn Crosby Mester, age 52, of Echols County, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church in Jennings, FL.
Judy Dawn was born on July 13, 1964 to the late Joe and Judy Skeen Crosby. She was always a hard worker sometimes working more than one job to help meet the obligations of a growing family. She was always thoughtful of how others were doing and concerned that everyone was happy and satisfied with the way things were going. Dawn loved her family and took excellent care of those she felt responsible for. She cared for all God's creatures and would have taken in every stray animal she could if her husband Big Jack would have allowed her to. Her daughter Morgan was blessed to have had a mother that would love her the way every mother should love her child. Dawn was raised up going to church and attended as long as her health permitted. She was a longtime member at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Judy Crosby; her beloved husband, Big Jack Mester, her step son, Little Jack and an infant daughter Mayson.
Survivors include her daughter, Morgan Mester; her sister, Tammy Jo Hughes and her husband Jayme; four grandchildren, Kari Mester, Kelli Mester, Zachary Turner and Nikki Turner; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her favorite verse was Psalms 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
This verse brought her comfort many times over and again in her short life.
There can be no doubt that she is in heaven with her Lord and will never suffer another day of pain on this earth.
