Julia Mae Simmons, age 76, of Jasper, FL. passed away June 2, 2010 at Shands in Live Oak, FL.
She was born in Hahira, Georgia to the late Marcus and Fannie Powers. Mrs. Simmons was a former resident of Suwannee County, FL. and was a retired nursing assistant. She attended Bright Pond Baptist Church in Jasper. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by three sons, Floyd Watson, Johnny Watson and Christopher Simmons.

Survivors include four sons, Odel Watson, Jr., Quitman, GA., Billy Joe Watson, Morven, GA., John Henry Watson, Jasper, FL. and Shawn Simmons, Jacksonville, FL.; three brothers, Edward Powers, Morven, GA., W.L. Powers, Moultrie, GA. and Robert Powers, Hawkinsville; two sisters, Ressey Fountain and Sarah Brantley, both of Ray City, GA.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5, 2010 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.
