June 23, 1960 – November 9, 2023
Julie Latrecia Black, born on June 23, 1960, to her loving mother, Jewell Bennett Sapp, passed away on November 9, 2023.
Julie had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and cherished the simple pleasures of life. She loved to spend her time fishing, hunting, and gardening. She found inspiration in the beauty of the world around her and shared that passion with those she held dear.
A member of Harvest Fellowship Church in Jasper, Florida, Julie found solace in her faith. She had a fondness for angels, which was a reminder of the protection and comfort provided by her heavenly father.
Julie is survived by her husband, John R. Black of Jennings, Florida and her stepfather, Billy Sapp, Sr. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Chad Howell of Adel, Georgia; Jonathan Howell, Sr. of May Day, Georgia; and Kenith Stracener of Valdosta, Georgia. Julie's sister, Sylvia Rhames (Ronnie) of Valdosta, Georgia, shared a special bond of sisterhood that brought them comfort and strength. Julia is also survived by her grandchildren: Justin Howell (Delaney), Lindy Howell, Nathan Brown, Brooke Howell, Brianna Howell, Jonathan Howell, Jr., Landon Stracener, Tyler Stracener, and Jasmine Perkins; four great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Billy Sapp, Sr., Herman Hudson, and her brothers, Rodney Hudson and Billy Sapp, Jr., but their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
