Obituary

Karen Denise Peterson, born on February 2, 1973, in Los Angeles, CA, to Kenneth and Karen Peterson, passed away on October 26, 2024. Karen was a joyful soul who brought warmth and love to everyone around her. Her family and friends were her greatest treasures, and her genuine kindness was felt by all who she knew and loved.

Karen was a devoted employee at Pilgrim's Pride, known for her hard work and dedication. Outside of work, she filled her days with her many interests. She adored spending time with her family, particularly during spirited board game nights. Karen found great joy in gardening, where she cultivated beautiful plants and vegetables. Her handiness and creativity shone through in her DIY projects. An avid reader, she enjoyed losing herself in the pages of captivating stories from romance to horror.  Karen was a proud member of the International Order of the Rainbow Girls, Troop Assembly 117, a community that remained close to her heart.  Karen's life was a testament to her vibrant spirit and her ability to bring joy and creativity into everything she touched.

Karen is survived by her son, Joshua Peterson of Jasper, and her daughter, Alora Peterson of Jasper. She leaves behind her grandmother, Laure Peterson of Blairsville, GA, and five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, treating them with the care and love of a devoted grandmother. Karen is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Ann Peterson and her father, Kenneth Peterson. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Karen's life.

Karen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
