IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathy Webb
Boone
February 26, 1962 – May 25, 2022
Kathy Webb Boone, of Jasper, FL. passed away on May 25, 2022 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL. at the age of 60.
Kathy was born on February 26, 1962 in Adel, Georgia to the late Harry Lee Webb and Maggie Tillery Webb (Fletcher.) She never lacked for playmates because she grew up with nine brothers and sisters. While 60 years seems brief, Kathy managed to pack a lot into those few years. She enjoyed gardening, taking the children and grandchildren to the springs, the river and many trips to the beach over the years. She was handy with a hammer, saw and a 2 X 4 piece of lumber when she needed something built. Going back, some will remember Kathy for her time working as a dental assistant for Dr. Jerry Smith or her time working at Captain Cooks Restaurant, while others will remember the sweet cosmetologist at the nursing home who didn't just do hair but worked miracles in the hearts of the residents with her extra hugs and kisses. Kathy was also a private care-giver for many years and fulfilled the wishes of many individuals that wanted to remain in the home but could no longer stay at home alone. The "where" you knew her from is not what one remembered after having encountered Kathy, it was that feeling of having been touched in some small way by an angel with a smile that made you want to smile right back. She had a way of making people feel at ease, cared for and genuinely loved. Her tiny frame might have fooled some but she was as strong as she needed to be in the moment. Kathy was a natural hostess and even in her most difficult moments in her last days, she managed to inquire if there was anything she could do for you. She was an active member at First Baptist Church for many years always wanting to make sure her grandchildren were in church and Vacation Bible School. Following a bout with cancer several years ago, Kathy was sure that she had been granted extra time to do more in the way of ministering to others and she was not wrong. Her return to good health brought about a renewed faith in the power of prayer and she indeed accomplished so much more with the time she was granted.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Boone (Shannon) and Aaron Boone; four brothers, Marvin Webb, Calvin Webb, Paul Webb (Caryn) and Mark Webb (Kim); one sister, Julia Davis; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Jasper, FL. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 207 N.E. 2 nd Street, Jasper, FL. 32052.
