Kenneth Edwin Daniels, age 87, of Jasper, FL, passed away on May 2, 2022, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

Ken was a native and lifelong resident of Jasper, FL. He was born on February 11, 1935, to the late Ed Daniels and Maggie Paulene Bembry Daniels. He graduated from Jasper High School, joined the Navy, and following service in Korea, married his sweetheart, Betty Jean Bennett, in 1957. Following his honorable discharge (Petty Officer, 3 ^rd Class), Ken attended Florida State University, served as a Florida Highway Patrolman and later as Hamilton County Veteran's Service Officer and Civil Defense Director. Ken was an active gardener, voracious reader, and world traveler. He and Betty were faithful members of Jasper First Baptist Church and shared 62 years together before her passing in December 2019. In addition to Betty, he was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Daniels Ferrell; grandson, Todd Daniels; and granddaughter, Brigitte Bailey.

Survivors include his brother, Don Daniels, Havana, FL; his daughter, Regina Jordan (Troy), Jasper, FL, his son, Kenneth M. Daniels (Darlene), Jasper, FL; and his daughter, Dr. Kellye K. Daniels, Natick, MA.; his grandchildren, Brian Daniels and Dalton Jordan; and three great grandchildren, Madison Wood, Tristan Daniels and Alora Daniels.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL. Graveside services will be officiated by Rev. Randy Ogburn.
