Kenneth Burl Gilley, age 85, of Live Oak, FL. passed away on April 11, 2023 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Live Oak, FL.

Kenneth was born in Montgomery, Alabama on November 9, 1937 to the late William and Flora Mae Helms Gilley. At the age of 23, he left his family and went off in service to his country with the United States Army. Upon his return he lived in Winter Haven briefly but in 1963 he moved to Suwannee County where he made his home until his death. Kenneth worked for over 34 years at the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch in Live Oak, FL. He enjoyed fishing and gardening but that followed behind his passion for playing the guitar and song writing. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Vera in 2015 and has made the journey to meet her and to live forever in his heavenly home the Lord has prepared for him.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kristie and Chris Harrison of Live Oak, FL.; one sister, Gwen Townsend and her husband Wayne of White Springs, FL.; two grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Harrison.

Graveside services were held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Suwannee Station Baptist Church, 3289 101 ^st Lane, Live Oak, FL. 32060.
